DTEK.ai, formerly Dukkantek, builds AI-native retail technology: SWIFT, an automated checkout that recognises multiple items at once with computer vision and no barcode scanning, plus vision AI (SIGHT) and AI agents for store operations, inventory and loss prevention. The Dubai-headquartered company was founded in January 2021 by Sanad Yaghi, Shadi Joulani and Ali Alsayegh as a cloud POS and store-management platform for small retailers across the Gulf and Turkey. It raised a $5.2 million seed round in October 2021 and a $10 million pre-Series A led by BECO Capital in August 2022.
