Cartona is a B2B e-commerce marketplace that lets grocery stores, restaurants, cafes and other small retailers in Egypt order FMCG products directly from wholesalers, distributors and brands through a mobile app, with delivery handled by the supplier and buy-now-pay-later financing for orders. Founded in 2019 by Mahmoud Abdelfattah, Mahmoud Talaat and Rafik Zaher and headquartered in Giza, it raised a $12 million Series A in 2022 and an $8.1 million Series A extension led by Algebra Ventures in July 2024.
