Baraka is a DFSA-regulated investing app that gives retail investors in the UAE and the wider GCC access to more than 20,000 assets, including US stocks and ETFs, fractional shares, options and physical gold, with a Sharia screener for halal investing. Founded in Dubai in 2020 by Feras Jalbout and Kunal Taneja and part of Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch, it raised a $20 million Series A led by Valar Ventures in November 2022.
