DRU by Almouneer

DRU is a lifestyle and diabetes management app from Egyptian healthtech company Almouneer (Al Mouneer for Medical Services). Users log blood sugar, HbA1c, blood pressure, food, exercise and medication, sync wearables, chat around the clock with an AI companion called NOOR and book consultations with doctors in Almouneer's provider network. Almouneer was founded in Giza in 2017 by ophthalmologist Noha Khater and Rania Kadry as a tech-enabled eye clinic before pivoting to chronic-disease care; it had served over 120,000 patients across nine hospitals and clinics in Egypt and raised a $3.6 million seed round led by Global Ventures in October 2023. The app is free to download, with premium subscriptions and care plans sold in-app.
